Questions, Polyvore, and a Poll

Does anyone have any questions for me? About my blog, about me, about my opinion on something? If so, ask away in the comments below! I'll answer everyone's questions a week from today!

Here's an outfit:
An Outfit for Summer

The results are in on one of my polls.

Do you like my Polyvore posts?

Yes! I love them! (75%)

They're not for me (0%)

They're okay...I guess...maybe (0%)

I like them, but don't post them as often! (25%)

The majority says I should keep posting Polyvore outfits. I will keep doing them, then! Probably not as often, though.

Vintage Dresses on Polyvore

I Love Vintage Dresses

Modern Vintage Outfit

There are some very beautiful vintage dresses on Polyvore. I love vintage dresses, so I love that there are vintage dresses on Polyvore. I really love vintage dresses from the 1950s. I think they're gorgeous. I hope you enjoy these two outfits!

Fall 2011 Fashion Trends: Brightly Coloured Pants

Hi!
This is the first post in my fall fashion series! {insert wild screaming and applause here} Yay! First off, I would like to give a big thank you to THIS website which provided a post with 10 fashion trends for this fall which I have been using so I know what the trends are!

Oh, and I'm not talking about these trends:
I mean, you could follow these trends, but where's the fun in that?

Trend #1
Brightly Coloured Pants
I really like this trend. I think it's really interesting. But I know that some people wouldn't be comfortable wearing bright coloured pants. Some people may think they draw to much unwanted attention too your legs. Some may just have a hard time thinking about themselves in such bright colours of pants. I do agree a little bit with the too much attention for your legs thing, but I think you can wear them with the right outfit. Here is one example:
Fall Fashion Trends: Brightly Coloured Pants

Okay, it's kind of 2 examples in one. I couldn't decide between plain shoes and a coloured clutch and coloured shoes and a plain clutch. You can decide which one you like better. I also couldn't decide on a shirt, so you can decide that, too.

Basically, you could wear the pants (in your choice of colour) with a cute t-shirt and a black cardigan and then add either of the options. Let's say you have blue pants, you could do some orange accessories because orange is the opposite of blue on the colour wheel. Oh, and don't think this is the only good way to wear coloured pants. This is just one suggestion of mine.

Some of you probably don't like pants or don't think they are comfortable. Don't worry, I came up with an outfit you can wear! This is also good for those of you who think coloured pants are a little much.
Fall Fashion Trends: My Twist on Brightly Coloured Pants

Again, I did two outfit options. I think a brightly coloured skirt is a great way to use this trend without going over the top!

That's it for my first fall fashion post! I hope you enjoyed it!

Random Post: Nail Polish, Fall Fashion, and Thrift Stores

I would like to film some nail tutorials. What would you like to see? I would love to hear all suggestions. I am going to put up poll on the sidebar with some suggestions I have, so please check that out! :-)

I'm going to start my fall fashion posts soon. I'm excited about that! I'm going to use Polyvore to make outfits based on the trends. Fall fashion is nice because you can dress really modestly and fashionably when it's cold out.

I just thought of something I never told everyone here! I cannot believe I forgot to tell you! I volunteer at a thrift store every week now! :-) If you have a thrift store around where you live, you should try it! It's lots of fun. It's kind like a dream come true for me because they let me dress the mannequins sometimes! I love doing that! I grew up going to thrift stores and trying to find treasures, so it's interesting and kind of weird that I get to see what goes on behind the scenes. The thrift store I volunteer at with my Mom and little sister is one of the nicer thrift stores around where we live. I'm not in anyway putting down not as nice thrift stores! I like those ones, too! I just meant one of the ones that's more put together than one where people who really need clothing go. But I will admit that they charge to much for the clothes sometimes!

And that concludes my kind of long random post.

Have a nice day!

A Question

Hi, everyone!

My birthday is coming up next month and I am thinking about having a 1950s themed party with my friends. My family thought that would be a good idea. We have sort of a 50s themed kitchen and we could eat burgers and fries and root beer floats. You know, a 50s diner.

Then I was thinking about watching a 50s movie. There are a lot to choose from. Greese in a great example of the 50s, but that movie isn't really appropriate. Don't worry, I haven't actually seen it. Back to the Future is an awesome movie where this guy goes back to the 50s, but there is some stuff in it that might not be okay with everyone. My parents fast forward the really bad parts, but you can't always catch them.

So, I'm am asking everyone here if you have some 1950s movie suggestions that would be okay for 13 and 14 year old girls to watch. Please comment if you have an idea!

Walk Along the Beach

Polyvore

I have seen some bloggers post pictures of outfits they make on this site called Polyvore. One day, I decided to check it out. I looked around , but I forgot about it. Then, I saw Polka Dot post some outfits. I also saw Marie Loves and Bramblewood Fashion doing some, too. I thought it looked cool, but again, I forgot about it. Then, yesterday I remembered about Polyvore and decided to check it out again. I did, and I fell in love. I made a "sample outfit" without signing up:

I had so much fun doing that. Today, I decided I wanted an account. I'm glad I did. It's SO much fun! :-)

I'm going by the name "PurpleDaisy97". Here are the two outfits I have made:
Nine Million Bicycles

I really like this outfit. This outfit is inspired by a song by a very talented lady named Katie Melua. She is Christian if you are wondering. I love her music and she has a lovely voice. Here is the song this outfit is named after:
Tea in Paris

I love Paris!

This site is like having every piece of clothing you could ever want right at your fingertips! It's a lot of fun! :-)

Fall Fashion

Hi!

I am going to be doing some fall fashion posts. I don't really follow trends, but I still wanted to talk about them and tell everyone what I think about the new trends. I could do some posts about cute and modest fall outfits, too! :-) I would like to know what you would like to see, too! If you have some ideas, please leave a comment down below!

To kind of kick off these fall fashion posts, I would like to share a trend I think is very interesting. That is brightly coloured pants:

This is the trend that caught my eye the most while I was looking up the trends online. I'm not totally sure what I think about this trend, but it's very bold! I know not everyone would be comfortable with this one. I thought of a fun way to do this trend that is not as scary as neon pink pants! I will tell you soon.

I am very excited to post these fall fashion posts!

I'm Back!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi everyone!

Wow, I haven't posted since May 2. Nothing has been wrong with me and nothing bad has happened. I just wasn't into blogging for quite awhile. I'm terribly sorry if I worried you and you thought something terrible happened to me! I know I took a long blogging break, but I needed it! I was kind of board with blogging, but guess what? I really want to start blogging again! Yay!

I can thank my little sister somewhat for that. You see, my little sister started a blog a few days ago and I was helping her a little and looking through some of her posts and I started thinking about how fun it is to blog! So, I decided to give my blog a new design (I'm still working on it) and start blogging again!!!!! By the way, my sister's blog is "Dollygirl's Treasures".

So, what have I been up to? Well, I finished Grade 8 (homeschool) in June. I am on summer vacation right now. Right now I am really into beauty. I was thinking about bringing some beauty posts on this blog. I'm not sure. Let me know if that's cool with you! :-) Or maybe I could do some video nail tutorials...hmmm...

Talk to you soon!

It's May!

How can it already be May?! This year is flying by!
Make sure you take advantage of the beauty of Spring by taking some photos. And if photography's not your thing, maybe you could get a friend, family member, or tripod and use the blossoming trees and flowers as a backdrop for some Spring outfit posts! Or maybe if fashion posts aren't your thing, you could paint a picture. Or you could just enjoy the weather and have a picnic. Or maybe you want to do all of those things and more!

I love Spring!

P.S. Meet Virginia Design is having an awesome giveaway. Seriously, go check it out. :D

He is Risen!

Happy Easter! I hope you are all having a wonderful day! Please remember that Easter is not about eggs and chocolate.
It is about Jesus dying on the cross to save us from our sins. They buried Jesus in a tomb and rolled a big rock in front.
Jesus came back to Earth 3 days after they buried him, on Sunday. When the women came back that Sunday morning, he was gone and the stone was rolled away. They were sad because he was gone, but there was an angel in the tomb.
Then, Jesus came to talk to them, they were excited and frightened. Jesus told them not to be afraid and the women went to tell the men.
Happy Easter!

Pretty Purple Flowers

I love Spring and I love taking photos. And since Spring is a really good time to take nature photos, I thought that I would start sharing some of my photography with all of you.
The pretty purple flowers I was talking about in the post title were violets. In the Spring, they start popping up everywhere! My little sister noticed a few violets on Saturday and she picked this bouquet today. My Dad is holding the flowers.

I love Spring!

I love when I don't have to wear boots and a big, puffy jacket. I love when I don't have to wear leggings with every skirt. I love when I can run and dance outside and not slip. I love when there are blossoms on the trees. I love taking picture outside.

Yep, I love Spring. It's one of my favourite times of the year. Are you excited about Spring?
