Outfit of the Day: Argyle

I like reading other people's outfit posts, so that may have been why I started my own a few weeks ago! Some of you may have noticed that my outfits seem a little casual for Church. Well, our Church isn't as dressy as some, but I want to put together some skirt outfits, so maybe that will be for next week... Again, please feel free to suggest combos, ideas, or something else new I should try for a future *Outfit of the Day*!

Here is what I wore on Sunday 14th, 2010 to Church and all day:

Okay, here are the details...

Cardi: Old Navy (bought with some lawn cutting money I made this summer working for my Grandpa!)

T-shirt: Second hand

Pants: Old Navy (bought same day with lawn money)

Socks (maybe I shouldn't bother telling you): Local Grocery Store (?)

Shoes: Payless

I must tell you about the good deals I found at Old Navy... I went there during the Sweet Sixteen event where a lot of things were marked down to $16! I had tried on the cords there when they were $40 and thought that was high because they were not the best quality, but when the Sweet Sixteen event came I thought that was much better! So, $16 and regular was $39.50.

The sweater was regular $34.50 marked down to... $16! After tax on the cords and cardi (that's all I bought) it was $36.16 for a nice sweater and some nice pants! I used some lawn money from working for my Grandpa this summer. The recipt said I saved $42.00!!! Wa-hoo!

I want to make sure you know that I am not a *trendy label* type of girl. American Eagle and other stores like that have some nice clothing, but I think people shouldn't limit themselves to having t-shirts with the company's logo all over them. What I'm trying to say is, it's ok to have one top like the one I'm wearing, but some people need to see outside of the AE polo and Aeropostale hoodie. As my sister said once, "There is nothing unique about sheep clothes (and I'm not talking about 100% wool fashions)." If you want to know why I'm wearing one, here's why...

This summer at my Church, a lady walked up to me and asked me if I wanted a t-shirt that didn't fit her daughter that she didn't really wear. I don't know how to say no when people say, "Would you like this?" and are hoping to get rid of it. I said, "Sure." and that was that. I must say, the actual shirt is a comfortable fit and the colour is nice, but I like to have my own *Ponytails* style. I wore this shirt because it went with the outfit.
